The food for breakfast could be improved with a wider variety of options.

We recently had a fantastic stay at the hostel in Veracruz. the atmosphere was great, and the owners and staff at Oyster were incredibly nice and helpful. the location was perfect, as it was just a short walk from the malecon and close to everything we needed on the street. We loved that the hostel had a kitchen and multiple places to relax, such as the terrace. the dorm beds were arranged in a way that offered privacy, and the recent remodeling made everything feel fresh and new. Vicky and Raúl, the owners, went above and beyond to provide us with all the information we needed, even arranging a taxi for us when we had to catch a night bus after check-out. They were also kind enough to drive us to the airport for our early morning flight. We highly recommend this hostel!
It was all superb! 😊.

I recently stayed at Oyster Hostel for a week during my vacation in Veracruz. The staff was incredibly friendly and the location was perfect for exploring the city. I loved having access to the fully equipped kitchen and the free coffee in the morning was a nice touch. The dorm bathroom was always kept clean and the bed curtains provided extra privacy. The small metal boxes for valuables were a convenient addition. it was one of the best hostels I've stayed in, and I highly recommend it.
Would recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed the welcoming and helpful staff, who provided great advice on road conditions and places to avoid. Appreciated the secure parking for my motorcycle, just a short walk from the hostel.- Loved the individual curtains and lights in the dorm, which provided privacy.- The free coffee in the mornings and air conditioning during the night were nice bonuses.
It would have been great to have a fan in the dorm, as it gets quite hot during the day. The cleanliness could be improved.

The value for money at this hostel is incredible - you won't find anything better in town. Our room was lovely, with a comfortable size and an en suite bathroom - such a great deal! The location was perfect, just a short walk to both the beach and the city center. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing great advice for exploring the area.
The breakfast selection could use some improvement - pancakes with maple syrup were tasty but a bit limited.

During our recent stay at the budget-friendly option in Veracruz, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm and friendly owner who was always available to provide helpful directions and advice. The location of the hostel was convenient, with everything within walking distance and easy access to the cheap seaside bus line. The private room we stayed in was clean, comfortable, and had a nice private bathroom. Additionally, the breakfast provided was delicious, offering eggs, beans, fried bananas.
While the ground level rooms could be a bit noisy at night, it was not overwhelming. The WiFi occasionally cut in and out, but overall it was manageable.
